Diver friend, if you want to enjoy a magical experience in the Caribbean, your destination must not be other than San Andres, Providencia and Santa Catalina. The sea of seven colors, the sound of reggae and calipso, it’s diverse population, their diverse spiritual beliefs; from Rastafari to Protestantism, their three official languages (English, Creole and Spanish) make this place a marvelous fusion of nature, culture and fun.

If you are an advanced diver, here you will find emblematic diving sites with overwhelming beauty and a high dose of adrenaline.

Entry tax:

Due to local legislation, any visitor (Foreign or Colombian) who does not reside in San Andres, Providencia or Santa Catalina must pay the Tourist Card which costs approximately COP 99,000 or USD 33.00. The card must be paid at the airline counter before boarding the plane to San Andres. Children under 7 or travelers who can prove their stay will be less than 24 hours are exempt from this charge.

Flight Time from Bogota to San Andres: 2 hours and 15 minutes approximately

Transportation from San Andres to Providencia: 25 minute flight, 3 hour ride in Catamaran.

You can find more than 60 sites in San Andres, Providencia and Santa Catalina that cater to different levels of expertise as well as each diver’s expectations. In this table you can find the most prominent and visited.

You can practice diving throughout the year. From November to January you may find high winds.

The nearest hyperbaric chamber to these spots is in the Hospital of San Andrés Islas.
