Nuqui, Cradle of Humpback Whales

Bahia Solano, just like Nuqui, are both scuba diving destinations in the Colombian Pacific Coast. They are located in the National Reservation of Utria. This is the recommended place for scuba divers and tourists who would like a complete immersion in ecotourism and ethno-tourism during there trip in Colombia. Diving Sights:

In the different diving sites in Nuqui you can see a diverse amount of marine species of all sizes. Even though there are a lot of sites specific for advanced divers, beginner divers can also experience Nuqui. In the Pacific Coast we are accustomed to a lot of changes in the tide, the currents, visibility and the atmospheric and environmental conditions. We recommend that divers use 5mm wetsuits that are at least thick during December to February.

You can dive throughout the year. The shark and ray season is between December and February. Big size species season is between March and May. Between June and November we have the beautiful humpback whale season.

The nearest hyperbaric chamber is located in the Base Naval de Bahia Malaga.
